SEMPERLEE YOGA MANIFESTO
•  Make peace with your Breath
Â
•  If you breathe you can live and all you need to improve is how to connect with your breath.
Â
•  Yoga provides the perfect tools for connecting and making peace with our breath through the practice of Asanas or Postures.
Â
•  Engage with Life-Force and Yoga
Our life force is our energy within, which moves our breath improving our oxygen. Through Yoga we activate our Life-Force, also known as Prana.
Â
•. Balance your Emotions
Â
Our emotions are controlled by our brain’s limbic system. The limbic system with structures such as the hippocampus, amygdala and hypothalamus which by relating to our emotions and memory, control our daily behavior.Â
The density of gray matter in the amygdala measures the amount of fear and anxiety as well as memory formation in the hippocampus. Â
Yoga practice encourages meditation simultaneously, and based on a study found in 2010, subjects that meditated 30 minutes a day for eight weeks had a reduction of gray matter improving their memory (overall), also the flight and fight response episodes had a reduction providing the outcome of less anxiety and fear levels.
Â
•  Own your Shadows
Â
When we manage to control our flight and fight response also known as “acute stress response” our fears and anxiety decrease.
Â
Through Yoga our blood circulation, respiratory centers and heart rate, rehabilitate to their optimum level providing all necessary physiological and emotional support required to prevent less stimulus perceived as threat.Â
Â
We become more in control of our emotions, managing to develop better self-judgement, if we make peace with our imperfections our judgement to others is more flexible.Â
Â
We own our shadows as the best outcome.
Â
• Ignite and Share your LightÂ
Â
When we own our shadows after catharsis, as well as when a perfect storm hits our shores… We find calmness and when we find calmness we are able to see the light at the end of our darkness.

The Art Of Resiliency Through Yoga:Â
Let’s talk a little about Yoga; Originated in ancient India, Yoga means “union” between the mind, body, and spirit.
It involves the practice of physical postures sometimes referred to Asana in Sanskrit.Â
As the name suggests, the ultimate aim of practicing yoga is to create a balance between the body and the mind in order to attain self-enlightenment.Â
It’s the oldest physical discipline in existence known to humankind.
Yoga brings stability to the body, and the wavering mind.
It increases the lubrication of joints, ligaments and tendons of the body.
Studies in the field of medicine suggest that Yoga is the only form of physical activity that provides complete exercise to the body, because it massages all the internal organs, and glands.
Resilience is essential without a basic supply of it:Â
It might sound harsh, but none of us would survive the accumulated losses, transitions, and heartbreaks that thread their way through even the most privileged human life.
Psychologists have pointed out we become resilient when we commit ourselves to embrace, and deal with pain (which is inevitable and unavoidable in human life) without getting lost in the suffering.
Suffering is the state in which our fear of pain, and our desire to avoid it close us off to the possibilities inherent in every situation.
The mind is like a phantom that lives only in the past or future. It’s only power over you is to draw your attention out of the present.
Â
A common misapprehension is that resilient people are free from negative emotions or thoughts, remaining optimistic in most or all situations.Â
To the contrary, resilient individuals have, through time, developed proper coping techniques that allow them to effectively, and relatively easily navigate around or through crises.Â
In other words, people who demonstrate resilience are people with optimistic attitude, and positive emotionality and are, by practice, able to effectively balance negative emotions with positive ones. Actively balance negative emotions with positive ones.
Â
The Lotus Flower and ResiliencyÂ
During Yoga, the practitioners undergo through a metamorphosis alike the lotus flower.
As explained above this is what resiliency is essential for.
If nature can transform suffering into strength and beauty, why couldn’t we?
Last but not least;
“There are not more than five musical notes, yes the combination of these five rise to more melodies than can ever be heard.” Â
