How much water should be consumed daily?

If you are living healthy but sedentary adult daily routine (in a temperate climate) at least drink  1.5 liters of water, before ending your day.

This action will balance water loss and keep your body properly hydrated.

The water you consume through food and drinks follows a very precise route to target in your cells, therefore becoming a vital constituent.

After passing through the stomach, water enters the small intestine, where it is largely absorbed in the first sections, the duodenum and jejunum. Arriving the rest into the colon.

It crosses the intestinal mucous membrane into the bloodstream, then into the interstitial tissues that make up the framework of every organ, making arrival in the cells.

The circulatory system (your blood) starts bringing nutritional elements to cells such as:

•  minerals

•  vitamins

•  protein components

•  lipids

•  carbohydrates

The outcome or final result is that toxins or waste products are then removed through urines.

Notes:

•   Water plays also an essential function in helping the regulation of temperature.

•   When you drink water on an empty stomach, it has been sustainedthrough research, that it begins to come into the plasma just 5 minutes after consumed ( pretty fast).

Our body is made up largely of water, therefore water is very necessary for the following functions:

•  as a lubricant surrounding the joints

•  acts as a shock absorber for eyes, the brain,  the spinal cord and even for the fetus in amniotic fluid

•  regulates body temperature
•  it is essential for cells to function properly by entering into their composition

•   metabolic reactions

•   chemical reactions

•   participates in the biochemical breakdown of  the food digestion by transporting nutrients to the cells and removing what is unnecessary ( waste and toxins)

Water is so important to our life that a few days without it,  would risk our survival.
